For over 50 years, our goal has been to build long-term relationships with our clients by providing exceptional service and a superior client experience. Hileman’s Tax and Payroll is a locally owned small business based in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Our firm is comprised of five dedicated professionals and support staff who are committed to serving our clients with accuracy and care.

We stay current with the latest laws and changes to the tax code by participating in annual continuing education courses. As a full-service firm, we specialize in personal and small business income taxes, payroll services, bookkeeping, quarterly reporting, and sales tax compliance.

 


  • Owner

    Jayme has long had a desire to return to and continue the family business founded by her grandmother, Margaret Hileman. She joined the firm in 2018 after spending five years working at a public accounting firm in State College, Pennsylvania.

    Jayme is an Enrolled Agent and earned her Master of Accountancy from Saint Joseph’s University in 2019, following her Bachelor’s from Penn State Altoona in 2013. In 2022, Jayme assumed ownership of the business from her Aunt Beth and continues to lead the company today.

 
 


  • Tax & Payroll Specialist

    Julia joined Hileman’s Tax and Payroll in 2022. Her interest in taxation began during her service in the United States Air Force, where she served as a Unit Tax Advisor and prepared tax returns for fellow service members.

    In 2024, Julia earned her Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service. Combined with her years of tax preparation experience, this enables her to effectively represent and assist clients with a wide range of tax matters.

The story behind us…

Hileman’s Tax and Payroll began back in the 1970s when Margaret Hileman decided to turn her passion for tax preparation into a business of her own. After years of working at H&R Block and teaching tax classes, she felt ready to branch out and serve clients in her own way.

In January 2012, Margaret passed the torch to her daughter, Elizabeth Williams. Beth carried on the family business with care and dedication, successfully leading the firm for the next ten years and continuing the strong relationships her mother had built.

In 2018, Beth’s niece, Jayme Bankert, joined the team after spending five years working at a public CPA firm. In 2022, Jayme took over ownership of the business and proudly continues the family tradition as the current owner.
